When owner, Jennifer Olson (a community volunteer and real estate broker) had continued difficulty in finding what she needed for various special events she was coordinating, she believed “if I want something I cannot find in town, then others must be having the same difficulty.” The only solution to this dilemma, she believed, was to “do it yourself!” In collaboration with her husband and co-owner, Brent Olson, they researched the market in Metro Albuquerque. Their research and conclusion resulted in them creating the store that opened on Saturday 4/29/17 – ON THE RISE Balloon Shop.

Individual shoppers and Event Planners can call, text, email, or schedule an appointment to shop a vast array of balloons and related accessories. Although they sell simple bouquets, Jennifer and Brent specialize in larger, customized balloon decorations. Their balloon designs will include those for all holidays. They will include, but not limited to, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Graduations, Patriotic Holidays (Memorial and the 4th of July) Father’s Day and others as the calendar moves forward throughout the year and the next decade.

Event planners for weddings and family celebrations, coupled with special event coordinators for proms and athletic events will be able to consult with Jennifer and Brent by scheduling a one to one appointment or working via email utilizing Brent’s design process.
