Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

There are many frequently asked questions (FAQ) when it comes to balloons and balloon decorations. Here is a list of the questions that we feel are the most important.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

Our hours of operation are Tuesday thru Saturday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We do not offer walk in services but are happy to schedule an appointment for you to come meet with us during our shop hours.

Although we are closed on Sunday and Monday, we do offer delivery and set-ups for events on those days.

CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?

We do offer pick-up services. The pick-up date and time will be determined during the booking process.

Many of our decorations are large and will not always fit into every vehicle. Please consult with a balloon artist about the size of your order.

DO YOU DELIVER BALLOON BOUQUETS?

Yes, we do offer delivery services but also offer scheduled pick-up times at our location.  Delivery fees are based on the location.  Please call or text for pricing.

Please Note:

We are currently experiencing inconsistent supplies of helium due to worldwide shortages. Bouquets may not be available at the time you inquire. However, we have several fun and impactful air filled gift ideas that we can share with you.

Delivery is only available on purchases of $50.00 or more.

If we are given an incorrect address or no one is available to accept the delivery, your order will go back to the shop and you can call to arrange another delivery.  Additional fees will apply.

Latex balloons cannot be delivered to hospitals. We can make all foil bouquets for hospital deliveries.

Some schools do not allow balloon deliveries. Please check with the school to find out their balloon policies prior to ordering.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?

Our services are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Many weekend slots fill up weeks in advance. Call or text to check with us to see if the time slot you want is available.

If you would like to schedule decorations for an event, please call the shop to check availability. We do events 7 days a week. We encourage you to schedule for your event as early as possible.

DO YOU HAVE BACKDROPS FOR RENT?

Yes, we offer several different styles of backdrops that can be rented as part of our balloon services. We would be happy to recommend styles of backdrops that would be best suited for your event.

ARE BALLOONS DANGEROUS?

They can be….

WARNING:

CHOKING HAZARD – Children under 8 years old can choke or suffocate on un-inflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision is required.

Keep un-inflated balloons away from children and/or pets.

Discard broken balloons at once.

Also, never inhale Helium as this can cause suffocation, serious injury or death.

WHAT IS ULTRA HIGH-FLOAT?

HI-FLOAT balloon treatment is a solution of a plastic material dissolved in water. It forms a coating inside latex balloons that greatly reduces helium or air loss and extends its float time. For example, an 11 inch latex balloon floats 8-10 hours. With Ultra High Float the float time is extended to 1-2 weeks.

WILL YOU FILL BALLOONS THAT I PROVIDE?

No, due to worldwide helium shortages, we are not able to fill your balloons at this time.

ARE BALLOONS BIODEGRADABLE?

Latex is made from rubber. It’s organic, made from the sap of rubber trees collected through an absolutely harmless tapping process very similar to that used for collecting the maple sap used for making syrup. It breaks down when exposed to the elements of nature, degrading at the rate of an oak leaf (about 6 months).

Foil balloons (also known as Mylar balloons) – are coated plastic and are not biodegradable.

Bubble Balloons are neither latex nor foil. They are made of plastic. They are durable, never oxidize, and are non-allergenic, but not biodegradable.

CAN I BUY BALLOONS TO RELEASE INTO THE AIR?

On the Rise does not support balloon releases.

We understand that sometimes balloons are accidentally released into the air. Because of this, we include weights and bags with all balloon orders in an effort to decrease accidental releases.
